Launched in February this year, Tradeling is a digital marketplace that showcases products of close to 300 suppliers from more than 25 countries.

Muhammad Chbib heads Tradeling, an online marketplace for business buyers. The 46-year-old chief executive from Germany, whose parents are originally from Syria, first visited the UAE in 2003 for Gitex. Although he moved here in 2004, he returned to Germany in 2007 before the global financial crisis hit. However, he returned to Dubai in 2011 and has lived here ever since. He lives in Meydan with his wife and four children aged 9, 8, 5 and 3.

تبنت %65 من الشركات العاملة في الإمارات آليه العمل عن بُعد خلال فترة سريان الإجراءات الاحترازية للحد من انتشار فيروس «كوفيد- 19»، بحسب بيانات شركة «أي دي سي» لأبحاث الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا والمعلومات، والتي أشارت إلى زيادة نسبة شحنات الأجهزة المرتبطة بأنظمة العمل عن بُعد بنسبة تصل إلى %36 خلال الربع الأول من العام 2020. وأكدت شركات تكنولوجية عالمية أن جائحة «كوفيد- 19» سرعت وتيرة الابتكار، واختصرت 10 سنوات في المدة اللازمة لتنفيذ خطط التحول الرقمي، كما ساهمت في زيادة الوعي التكنولوجي، وقلصت الفجوة الرقمية بين الأفراد.
